Vienna's public transport operator (Wiener Linien) provides an Open Data API, where you can get real-time information of the local public transportation network (e.g. departures, station geo data, etc). To get data from this API you have to send a request using the specific stopId of a station.

What this API provides

The Vienna Transport API makes it easier for you to get data from Wiener Linien's Open Data API. It allows you to make request using the names of stations and lines without knowing any stopId. In addition we offer some filter features, so you can get specific data with a single request.

The API supports http as well as https

Requests are limited to one per 30 seconds!
